MARSHALL ALLEN, JOHN SINCLAIR, ELLIOT LEVIN,in D.C Oct 19th.

New Atlantis proudly welcomes Marshall Allen back to DC, with a very special new unit! Marshall has been a veteran of the legendary and massively influential Sun Ra Arkestra since the 1950s, and has led the group since the passing of John Gilmore in the mid-1990s. For this performance, he'll be accompanied by Philly's own tenor titan and Cecil Taylor alum, Elliott Levin; DC residents Sam Lohman (drums) and Ed Ricart (guitar); and from New Orleans- Alex Obert (bass) and the legendary founder of the White Panther Party- poet and activist, John Sinclair (former manager of the MC5)!
