John Sinclair "The Screamers"

It would be impossible to overstate the impact that JOHN SINCLAIR has made on the city of Detroit. Initially gaining notoriety as a poet and de-facto leader of the local counter-culture movement, John became notorious as the head of The White Panther Party and as the manager/political strategist of the MC5. He became an international symbol of Revolution when John Lennon rose to his defense after he was sentenced to 10 years in state prison for possession of two joints. He’s been a poet, journalist, DJ, cultural activist and performing artist. Here he performs “The Screamers” – a track from his forthcoming album, “Detroit Life”.
