Jenny Risher's book puts a lens on Detroit notables.

Risher shot '60s activist and radical John Sinclair through elegant plumes of just-exhaled cigarette smoke. "I'm crazy about Jenny's work," Sinclair says when reached in New Orleans. "I loved the project and was honored to be part of it. Of course, I was already familiar with her work — she's not unknown. I'd seen her stuff."
