OK, so, technically, this was shot up and over from 315 Bowery in Koreatown--at Chris Noth's fancy dinner club, The Cutting Room.

And the seven minutes of poetic heaven captured here are but an excerpt from the 2001 Sinclair record with his Boston Blues Scholars, Fattening Frogs for Snakes, Vol. I.

Finally, the four men backing him up are not, in fact, from Boston; they're New Orleans' own Carlo Ditta Quartet.

Regardless, given that that long-lost MC5 doc just made its way to YouTube, Classicalite thought the time was nigh to post a Sinclair-centric YouTube of our own.

As per Mr. Detroit, himself, it's not pro quality. And the $20-minimum wait staff move in 'n' out of the frame as they please.

All the same, this clip of John Sinclair with Carlo Ditta's band gives you a free blues lesson you'll no doubt find both enlightening and entertaining.

If only the CBGB Fest, herself, could promise the same.
