JOHN SINCLAIR RADIO SHOW 533: THANK YOU GARY GRIMSHAW

JOHN SINCLAIR RADIO SHOW 533: THANK YOU GARY GRIMSHAW

Episode 533 is a salute to my dearly departed close friend and comrade Gary Grimshaw, the Detroit artist who went to high school with Rob Tyner of the MC-5 and did most of the band’s artwork, as well as thousands of posters, flyers, graphic designs, logos, album covers, advertisements and other art work from the mid-60s until his passing in Detroit last week. This episode is coming from the 420 Café in Amsterdam and features music by the MC-5, much of it recorded at the Grande Ballroom where Grimshaw was working the light show, plus a cut by John Coltrane and a dirge from me & Wayne Kramer to close the show. Grimshaw’s remarks were recorded at a Central Committee meetng circa 1970.of the White Panther Party, which Grimshaw served as Minister of Art.
