Café The Zen
Tonight’s program is a radio homage to my beloved brother, the late David Sinclair, in celebration of what would’ve been his 65th birthday May 31st and with a special birthday greeting to my brother-in-law, Mike Merriweather of the former Motor City. There’s music and poetry by
Yusef Lateef, Thelonious Monk, John Sinclair recorded last week at Ruigoord, Marvin Gaye, David Sinclair at the Detroit Artists Workshop, Ornette Coleman, Sherman Mitchell & Friends from Flint, MI, Mojo Boogie Band at the Ann Arbor Blues & Jazz Festival, Aretha Franklin, the Up, and John Sinclair & the Pinkeye Orchestra “live” at the Bohemian National Home in Detroit in October 2009.
