Down The Tube: John Sinclair Radio Show 504

Down The Tube: John Sinclair Radio Show 504

Episode 504 took me and Steve the Fly to Rotterdam this past weekend for the North Sea Jazz Festival at the Ahoy arena, a large and entirely soulless venue hosting a multitude of acts on a plethora of stages playing for vast audiences of ticket-buying citizens. Sonny Rollins was forced to cancel for health reasons but we’re including him in our North Sea show anyway, with a live cut from a concert in Los Angeles in 2011, plus recorded performances by current North Sea performers Medeski-Scofield-Martin-&-Wood, Carlos Santana, Herbie Hancock, Charles Lloyd, and Doug Hammond on drums with the Charles Mingus Jazz Workshop, recorded live at the 1973 Ann Arbor Blues & Jazz Festival
